The Bone Wars was an 1800s Dino Drama involving two rival paleontologists, Othniel Charles Marsh and Edward Drinker Cope. The Bone Wars follows their race to fame in the dino world while playing dirty using bribery, theft, and the destruction of bones. Inspired by a Victorian style of sepia tones and distressed imagery, illustrations, and a newspaper layout were created. Using AfterEffects plug-ins, presets, and some keyframing along with these illustrations the newspaper started to come to life. Then implementing voiceovers, Sherlock-inspired background music, and sound effects, this story was told.
